Associate Member: Serve on the UCTA Board
To serve on the Board of the Utah Cable & Telecommunications Association (UCTA) not only empowers you to influence UCTA policy, you get to interact in an intimate setting and in an ongoing basis with key industry leaders throughout your one-year term. You would be expected to attend Board meeting approximately once every other month, as well as the winter meeting and the summer conference. In addition, you will assist with board work between board meetings. With this activity you establish yourself as an industry leader and your company as an even more important industry player.
The UCTA selects its Associate board members a little differently than do most state associations. You are selected from among your peers by the operator board members, instead of by other associate members. This means that you are selected by your customers to help organize and run the association, a high honor indeed.
To get elected, contact as many operator Board members as you can and lobby them for their support. Membership on the board is well worth the effort.
